AMPI Board Members Question Procedural Legitimacy of Plenary Meeting IX

Internal polemics within the Indonesian Youth Renewal Force (AMPI) continue to unfold after Arif Rosyid Hasan was appointed as Secretary-General. AMPI Board Member Raynold Darmawan has raised concerns over alleged procedural issues in the invitation for the organization’s Plenary Meeting IX. According to Raynold, referring to the organization’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), as well as several organizational regulations, the meeting invitation numbered UND-236/DPP-AMPI/7/2026 contains irregularities. He highlighted that the invitation was signed by the General Chairman and the Deputy Secretary-General, whereas the organization’s Regulation No. 001 of 2022 stipulates that daily and plenary meetings are led by the General Chairman and the Secretary-General. Raynold noted that the incumbent Secretary-General, Robi Anugrah Marpaung, was still in office and not indisposed at the time. He argued that while regulations allow the General Chairman to appoint a Chairman or Vice Chairman in their absence, there is no provision authorizing a Deputy Secretary-General to replace an active Secretary-General. Furthermore, Raynold pointed out the alleged exclusion of the Secretary-General from the Plenary Meeting forum, suggesting this could undermine the principle of collective collegiality in organizational decision-making. He also criticized the meeting agenda, which only listed ‘Organizational Consolidation’ and ‘Other Matters’, warning that if strategic decisions such as leadership changes or dismissals are made, they should have been explicitly stated in the agenda from the outset.
