Amount of Deposits from Work Units to Cilacap Regent for Holiday Allowances: Smallest Rp 3 Million, Largest Rp 100 Million
Jakarta, VIVA — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that 23 work units within the Cilacap Regency Government in Central Java submitted extortion funds ranging from approximately Rp 3 million to Rp 100 million to Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman.
“The deposits received varied. Starting from as low as Rp 3 million to Rp 100 million per work unit,” said KPK Deputy for Prosecution and Enforcement Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday evening, 15 March 2026.
However, Asep noted that the initial demand was approximately Rp 75-100 million from each work unit.
“This may be because the regional work units also did not have adequate budgets,” he said.
For this reason, he suspected the varying deposits resulted from a negotiation process, which was managed based on the considerations of Cilacap Regional Secretary Assistant II Ferry Adhi Dharma (FER).
“If a regional work unit could not meet the determined amount of Rp 75-100 million, they were required to report to FER for consideration and have the target reduced according to the agreement,” he explained.
Previously, on 13 March 2026, the KPK announced its ninth operation and third during Ramadhan in 2026. The operation arrested Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and 26 others, and seized cash in rupiah.
Additionally, the KPK stated that the operation was related to suspected bribery involving projects within the Cilacap Regency Government in Central Java.
On 14 March 2026, the KPK named Syamsul Auliya Rachman (AUL) and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardoo (SAD) as suspects in alleged extortion and bribery cases within the Cilacap Regency Government in Central Java for the 2025-2026 budget year.
