Amman Mineral Targets 16 Tonnes of Gold Production in 2026
PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) is targeting gold production of 16 tonnes throughout 2026, coinciding with the operation of its precious metal refining facility. President Director Rachmat Makkasau stated that the production plan is supported by the readiness of the Precious Metal Refinery, while the company continues to optimise mining at Batu Hijau to ensure a stable supply of concentrate for the smelter.
βThe production plan until the end of 2026 is to produce around 162,000 tonnes of copper cathode, approximately 16 tonnes of gold, 45 tonnes of silver, and also around 91 tonnes of selenium,β he said during a hearing with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The smelter, which uses Double Flash technology, is designed with an input capacity of 900,000 tonnes of concentrate per year. The facility is projected to produce 220,000 tonnes of copper cathode, 18 tonnes of gold, 55 tonnes of silver, and 77 tonnes of selenium annually.
By the end of 2026, the company also plans to begin producing 1.96 tonnes of tellurium, with by-product sulphuric acid production estimated to reach 572,000 tonnes this year. Looking ahead, AMNT expects a production increase over the next three years as it advances the Phase 8 mining project, allowing the company to process more ore.
