Amien claims support of pimps

SURABAYA, East Java: The campaign team for presidential hopeful Amien Rais said on Monday their candidate was receiving strong support from all walks of life, including pimps.

Some 300 representatives of pimps, street vendors and other groups in the regencies of Nganjuk, Kediri and Jombang will declare their support for Amien on Tuesday in Surabaya, according to the campaign team.

"Thank God, we will get more voters," said Imam Sugiri, the chairman of Amien's campaign team in East Java province. -- Antara
