Amidst the Raging War, Iran's President Calls for Muslim Nations to Unite!
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Muslim countries to remain united and prevent enemies from exploiting the current situation to create division. According to Al Arabiya media, on Friday (27/3/2026), in a telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Thursday (26/3) evening, Pezeshkian described Iran’s attacks on US bases and military centres in the Middle East as a natural and legitimate response to attacks on the Islamic Republic. The Iranian President also expressed appreciation for the principled stance of the Malaysian government and people in condemning the US-Israel aggression against Iran. Pezeshkian emphasised that Muslim countries must not allow enemies of the Islamic world to use this issue to sow division and ignite the flames of war throughout the region. Reaffirming Iran’s long-held policy, Pezeshkian stressed that Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons—a fact repeatedly confirmed by various reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He rejected Western claims about Iran’s nuclear ambitions, calling them false pretexts used to justify illegal attacks on Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We want a complete cessation of the war and the restoration of security and peace in this region,” said Pezeshkian. He also expressed hope that Muslim countries would join efforts to save West Asia from the disaster that enemies seek to inflict. During the telephone conversation, Anwar conveyed condolences for the deaths of the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, several senior Iranian commanders, officials, and civilians killed in the US-Israel military aggression. He also expressed full solidarity and sympathy to the Iranian government and people.
