Amidst Rp2.63 Trillion Net Sell, Foreign Investors Quietly Accumulate These Shares
Jakarta — Foreign investors recorded net purchases in several shares listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during trading on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. A number of issuers from the energy and mining sectors were the primary targets of global investors.
However, overall, foreign investors recorded a substantial net sell position during yesterday’s trading, totalling Rp2.63 trillion across the entire market.
Based on trading data, Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG) shares recorded the largest net foreign buy at Rp80.2 billion. In second position is Medco Energi Internasional (MEDC), which was purchased by foreign investors for Rp72.9 billion. Subsequently, Adaro Andalan Indonesia (AADI) shares recorded net foreign purchases of Rp47.8 billion.
Coal mining company Bukit Asam (PTBA) also appeared on the list with net foreign buying of Rp25.9 billion.
This accumulation activity by foreign investors demonstrates sustained interest in energy commodity-based shares, amid rising global market volatility and energy price movements.

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) recovered during Tuesday’s trading (10 March 2026) after a sharp decline the previous day. The IHSG, which initially surged 2.2% and nearly touched the 7,500 level at the opening of trading, had to settle for a reduced gain of 1.41% or up 103 points to 7,440.91 at the close of the second session.
A total of 534 shares advanced, 190 declined, and 93 remained unchanged. Trading value reached Rp19.16 trillion, involving 336.26 billion shares across 2.03 million transactions. Market capitalisation increased to Rp13.338 trillion.
Nearly all trading sectors showed strength, with the largest gains recorded by energy and raw materials, whilst only the infrastructure and technology sectors registered weakness.
Several issuers that emerged as primary movers of IHSG performance included DSSA, BRMS, BBCA, BMRI and BYAN.
