Ustadz Adi Hidayat (UAH) has called for national repentance amidst various disasters and natural phenomena occurring in several regions of Indonesia. According to him, these events should not merely be viewed as natural cycles, but should serve as a momentum for the community to engage in introspection, increase prayers for forgiveness, and improve their relationship with Allah SWT.

In a message delivered through the Adi Hidayat Official YouTube channel, he addressed the nation, expressing hope for the well-being and spirit of all citizens in their pursuit of divine pleasure. He noted that in Islamic worship, the phrase ‘Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin’ is recited 17 times daily to affirm praise to Allah SWT as the caretaker, ruler, and protector of the universe.

He emphasised that the preservation of the universe, including the Earth, relies on following established rules. One such rule is to maintain stability and refrain from actions that damage the surrounding environment. He observed that much of the destruction seen on land and at sea is a direct result of deviant human behaviour.

He further stated that when Allah SWT intends to remind servants who have exceeded their limits—actions which impact environmental stability and provoke the wrath of the Creator—He provides signs within our lives. Citing Surah Al-Isra, verse 59 from the Quran, he highlighted that divine warnings are often profound and significant, intended to shake the conscience and awaken humanity to their responsibilities.
