Amid Net Selling, Foreign Investors Quietly Scoop Up These Stocks
Amidst heavy net selling actions by foreign investors in aggregate, several stocks have still become targets and been snapped up by global investors throughout the period of 6-10 April 2026. Based on trading data, a number of stocks recorded the largest net foreign buys during the week, dominated by the energy, commodities, and banking sectors. Shares in PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) became the most heavily bought by foreign investors, with a net purchase value reaching Rp206 billion. This was followed by PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) and PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR). Sectorally, energy- and commodity-based stocks were seen to dominate the list of foreign purchases, especially the Adaro group, which placed several of its entities simultaneously in the top buy rankings. In addition, the entry of stocks such as BBNI and ASII shows that foreign investors are still selectively accumulating certain blue-chip stocks amid overall selling pressure. From the liquidity side, trading activity also increased sharply. The average daily transaction value rose 17.26% to Rp17.31 trillion, while transaction frequency surged 15.05% to 2.05 million times per day. The daily transaction volume even soared 24.81% to 32.28 billion shares. In total for the week, the market transaction value reached Rp86.59 trillion with a volume of 161.42 billion shares and frequency of 10.24 million transactions. The strengthening of the IHSG also aligns with the positive trend in global exchanges. Several major world indices such as South Korea’s KOSPI and Japan’s Nikkei each jumped 8.96% and 7.15% in the same period.
