PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) recorded operating revenue of USD 3,333.69 million in 2025. From that revenue, the company secured a net profit of USD 572.48 million, an increase of 2.49% compared to the previous year. Acting Corporate Secretary Vega Pita stated that the net profit and revenue growth was the result of a combination of fleet strengthening, business expansion, operational discipline, and consistent cost efficiency across all business lines. This proves PIS can continue to grow amid the dynamic geopolitical challenges of the industry. The positive performance throughout 2025, Vega noted, was achieved in the face of various challenges confronting the global shipping industry. She said this achievement was the result of the company’s consistency in maintaining the operational reliability of its fleet and sustainable business management, in line with PIS’ commitment to supporting national energy distribution. Vega noted that throughout 2025, PIS transported 107.69 billion litres of crude oil, refinery products, fuel, and LPG, ensuring the reliability of energy supply to all corners of Indonesia. During 2025, the company contributed IDR 4.87 trillion to the state through taxes and dividends to support Indonesia’s economic growth, alongside support for other domestic industries such as ship maintenance, enhancing the capability of the Indonesian shipping industry, and backing for Indonesian seafarers. Furthermore, Vega said PIS plays an important role in national energy distribution. This positive performance was underpinned by cost efficiency and the addition of business portfolios, including in the non-captive business. A notable increase was seen in the growth of the LNG transport business, with the company shipping 11 LNG shipments, equivalent to 5.5 times the realisation in 2024. This reflects increased trust from domestic LNG customers in PIS. The expansion of the international gas and petrochemical cargo portfolio was carried out through the transport of 28 shipments of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM).
