Sarjoko said the Honda Vario motorcycle, driven by a man identified as S (58), a resident of Panjatan in Kulon Progo, was travelling south to north. The motorcyclist crossed the Karangnongko junction when the traffic light was green. ‘Upon reaching the Karangnongko junction with the traffic light green, the motorcycle collided with the Suzuki ambulance travelling east to west,’ he said. As a result of the collision, Sarjoko said the motorcyclist sustained several injuries. ‘The motorcyclist suffered a broken pinky finger on his right hand and abrasions on his hands and feet. The victim was treated at Wates Regional Public Hospital,’ he added. Sarjoko added that the ambulance driver, identified as RS (46), a resident of Cilacap, was unharmed in the incident. ‘The ambulance was transporting a corpse from Yogyakarta to Cilacap. The driver was uninjured in the incident,’ he concluded.
