Jakarta (ANTARA) - Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi, has emphasised that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always exercised restraint regarding conflicts occurring in the Middle East region. “We wish to emphasise that in facing these events, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always prioritised a stance of restraint and sought to prevent the region from developing into a broader battlefield,” said Ambassador Faisal at his residence in Jakarta on Thursday evening. He stressed that Saudi Arabia will not permit its land, waters, or airspace to be used to launch attacks against Iran. “We emphasise that we are unwilling and reject turning our territory, our regions, our seas, our airspace into a place to attack Iran,” he stated. According to him, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to pursue various diplomatic efforts, but unfortunately, Iran has carried out attacks on Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia. On that occasion, the Ambassador reiterated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not part of this warfare. Furthermore, Faisal assessed that the impact of the conflict in the region is highly dangerous and has clearly affected the global economy and energy security. “The impact is evident through rising ticket prices, fuel prices, and energy prices, as well as increased costs in the supply chain,” he said.
