The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (Amanah) Foundation, in cooperation with the Aceh Food Agency and the Aceh Regional Office of Perum Bulog, has introduced a subsidised affordable food programme to help meet the community’s basic needs. Amanah Foundation Chairman Syaifullah Muhammad stated in Aceh Besar on Saturday that the programme provides 600 staple food packages at prices lower than the market rate. The affordable food initiative is part of the Gebyar Kreasi Amanah 2026 event series, which also includes a healthy heart exercise session, an SME bazaar, a BSI service corner, an Amanah melon harvest, and a blood donation drive. The market offers a total of three tonnes of rice, 1,200 litres of cooking oil, 1.2 tonnes of sugar, and 600 trays of eggs. These are distributed in 600 packages, each containing five kilogrammes of rice, two litres of cooking oil, two kilogrammes of sugar, and one tray of eggs. The price of these essentials has been subsidised by Rp6,000 per kilogramme, or Rp66,000 overall, allowing the public to purchase a package for Rp158,000, compared to the normal price of Rp224,000. Syaifullah explained that the Amanah affordable market, together with the Aceh government and Perum Bulog, is intended to support the community’s purchasing power and needs, thereby contributing to inflation control. He added that the programme also helps ensure food availability and access while playing a role in managing regional inflation. Amanah is a centre for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship development for Aceh’s young generation, initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) during the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON). The facility, located in the Aceh Industrial Zone (KIA) Ladong in Aceh Besar Regency, serves as a collaborative platform to produce quality local products and strengthen the creative economy. The building was originally inaugurated by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
