Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul - Hebat (AMANAH) programme has been relaunched through an integrated approach that combines character-based leadership development with strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem and local potential.

To bolster the AMANAH programme, a number of young people from various regions in Aceh attended the Future Leaders Bootcamp (FLB) organised by the Training and Certification Division of the AMANAH Working Body, at the AMANAH Building, Aceh Industrial Area (KIA), Ladong, Aceh Besar.

In his address, AMANAH Chairman Dr Syaifullah Muhammad stated that Aceh’s younger generation is not lacking in potential, but is limited in terms of space for self-development, thus requiring support from all parties to make them a resilient generation with global competitiveness.

“Aceh’s youth do not lack potential. What is needed is an ecosystem capable of transforming that potential into productivity and competitiveness,” he said.

He added that unchanneled energy and creativity have the potential to drive the emergence of destructive behaviours, including drug abuse.

Meanwhile, Regent Syech Muharram affirmed his commitment to supporting AMANAH’s presence as a centre for developing youth potential, particularly in the fields of UMKM, modern agriculture, and creative industries.

“There is already a magnificent building and complete facilities, so it would be a great pity if they are not utilised optimally. We hope that AMANAH will truly provide tangible benefits for the people of Aceh Besar,” said Syech Muharram.

He also emphasised the importance of collaboration between the local government and AMANAH in managing and activating the existing facilities, so that they can become a centre of innovation with a direct impact on improving the quality of human resources.

On that occasion, the Regent also highlighted the importance of enhancing the quality of human resources for Aceh’s younger generation. He reminded that the future generation must be able to adapt to the times without losing their identity.

“We want the Aceh Besar generation to be an excellent and great generation. They must be creative, innovative, and still hold strong cultural and Islamic values,” he stressed.

Syech Muharram also outlined several priority programmes of the Aceh Besar Regency Government, including strengthening the agricultural sector through new paddy field printing programmes, irrigation improvements, borehole construction and pipelining, as well as improving community welfare through UMKM, fisheries, livestock, and plantation sectors.

He even affirmed his commitment during his tenure in Aceh Besar to preserve agricultural land so that it does not change function into residential areas.

“We will protect the paddy field areas. No more houses or other buildings may be built on productive land,” he said.

The Regent also conveyed the importance of religious-based education programmes such as Beut Kitab Bak Sikula as part of efforts to shape the character of the excellent and great younger generation of Aceh Besar, in line with the AMANAH programme.
