AMA Aircraft Reported Burned by Armed Criminal Group in Yahukimo

An armed criminal group (KKB) has reportedly burned an aircraft belonging to AMA in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Highlands. The chronology of the incident is not yet known. The incident occurred in Balinggama Village, Sobaham District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Highlands, on Thursday (2/7/2026). Yahukimo Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Zet Salino, contacted from Jayapura, stated that the AMA aircraft reported burned by the KKB had the flight code PK-RCY. However, its exact condition, including the fate of the pilot, remains unknown as the crime scene can only be reached by aircraft.
