Alvalab Launches Five High-Tech Testing Services
Tangerang (ANTARA) - Laboratory testing services provider Alvalab has launched five high-tech testing service products to meet the increasingly complex and dynamic needs of the food, agriculture, environmental, and manufacturing industries.
“This launch marks the company’s first momentum to appear at a special laboratory industry exhibition. Prioritising accuracy, speed, and compliance with global standards, Alvalab continues to deliver relevant and value-added analytical solutions,” said Alvalab’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Jonathan A Widakdo, when met at the Lab Indonesia 2026 event at ICE BSD City, Serpong, Tangerang, on Saturday.
Jonathan revealed that Alvalab is presenting five flagship services to address industry needs for stricter product safety and quality, both in domestic and global markets.
The main service introduced is Pesticide Residue Analysis, which is a crucial parameter for agricultural commodities and spices. Supported by cutting-edge analytical technology, Alvalab can perform testing on complex materials such as cassia sticks and black pepper, which have more challenging matrix characteristics than leaf-based materials. This testing ensures products meet the maximum residue limits (MRL) required by various destination countries.
To support food safety, Alvalab also provides allergen testing using the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. This testing can detect allergens down to trace levels, helping to prevent cross-contamination while ensuring compliance with global standards.
Another service is active ingredient analysis, which plays a role in confirming the content and concentration of main compounds in products. This analysis is important for maintaining quality, authenticity, and product consistency, particularly for spices and essential oils.
As a complement, Alvalab is also introducing anti-bacterial testing to evaluate the effectiveness of a product’s antibacterial properties. The testing is conducted through validated laboratory methods to produce accurate and accountable data.
“So far, many industries have had to send samples abroad. With this development, testing can be done domestically, making it more efficient in terms of cost and time,” he explained.
Jonathan emphasised that Alvalab’s main strengths lie in the quality and speed of its services. The company uses laboratory equipment from Europe with an accuracy level of up to 99.5 per cent.
In addition, the processing system uses a calendar day basis, including weekends, thus providing certainty of time for clients. “What clients need is certainty, both in terms of quality and lead time,” he said.
Entering 2026, Alvalab is optimistic about the growth of the national food industry. This aligns with the increasing need for laboratory testing to ensure product quality and safety.
“In 2024 it was the beginning, 2025 it started running, and in 2026 we are ready to sprint because the equipment, methods, and accreditations are increasingly complete,” Jonathan stated.
He added that client trends are also shifting from mere trials to long-term contracts, indicating growing trust in Alvalab’s services.
Looking ahead, Alvalab hopes for government support in strengthening the laboratory industry ecosystem, including through promotion and hosting events like Lab Indonesia.
“Laboratories play an important role in ensuring product data accuracy and preventing overclaims. We want to be present as a credible independent laboratory,” he said.
Meanwhile, Billy Laurence, Managing Director of Alvalab, sees a significant increase in the need for fast, accurate, and integrated laboratory services. The launch of these new services is part of our strategy to provide sustainable added value for customers.
“Through this participation, Alvalab invites industry players, business partners, and stakeholders to visit the Alvalab booth and explore the various testing solutions offered,” he said.
Alvalab’s participation also received positive responses from exhibition visitors. “Alvalab presents comprehensive solutions, especially with the new services and integrated system. This is very helpful in ensuring our product quality,” said Yanuar, one of the visitors.
