JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government’s plan to disburse a purchase incentive for electric motorcycles amounting to Rp 5 million per unit has been welcomed by industry players. This step is seen as a concrete push to boost the population of emission-free two-wheeled vehicles on Indonesian roads.

One of the players giving a positive response is ALVA. ALVA’s Chief Marketing Officer, Putu Swaditya Yudha, views this policy as a form of real support in accelerating the transformation towards environmentally friendly mobility.

“We welcome positively the planned purchase assistance for electric motorcycles as a tangible form of government support in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia,” said the man familiarly known as Adit to Kompas.com on Thursday (7/4/2026).

“For ALVA, this step not only helps expand public access to electric vehicles but also becomes an important momentum to enhance education and awareness among the public about the benefits of a sustainable mobility ecosystem,” Adit added.

Furthermore, Adit explained that the transition to electric vehicles is not merely a lifestyle trend, but a strategic need for the country to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Currently, the government through Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is still in the finalisation stage of the policy. Positive signals from producers like ALVA indicate the industry’s readiness to absorb the quota prepared by the government.

Currently, ALVA can be said to have a complete line of electric motorcycle products. In the Rp 20 million range, there is the N3, then at Rp 30 million is the One XP, and in the Rp 40 million range is the Cervo.
