Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian two-wheeled vehicle manufacturer Alva has successfully obtained an important certification as government recognition of its level of industrial readiness in implementing digital transformation through the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) Certificate.

“The INDI 4.0 certificate represents recognition of Alva’s commitment to adopting digital technology and Industry 4.0 best practices. This achievement strengthens our position as a key player in the electrification mobility industry in Indonesia,” said Alva’s Chief Marketing Officer, Putu Swaditya Yudha, in an official statement on Monday.

He said the achievement has energised the company to continue delivering a range of innovations and key technologies that can foster the electric motorcycle industry in Indonesia.

“We will continue to innovate and enhance our digital capabilities to provide mobility solutions that are more efficient, sustainable, and aligned with the ever-evolving market demands,” he added.

He further explained that the INDI 4.0 certificate is a programme initiated by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia as a national instrument to measure the readiness of manufacturing companies in transforming towards the Industry 4.0 era — an era of manufacturing that integrates intelligent digital technology into all production processes.

As such, INDI 4.0 serves as a strategic benchmark in accelerating national industrial transformation, as stipulated in Minister of Industry Regulation Number 21 of 2020 concerning the Measurement of Industrial Readiness Levels in Transforming Towards Industry 4.0.

The government’s confidence in Alva to receive this certificate further affirms that the manufacturer has a strong foundation in smart manufacturing implementation and is ready to advance to a more comprehensive stage of adoption.

Alva is also the only Indonesian-branded electric motorcycle producer to receive this recognition, whilst being assessed as excelling in digital transformation readiness.

This demonstrates that Alva is not only focused on production but also on continuous innovation and technology development.

“We encourage Alva to continue advancing to the next stage, with the target of becoming a National Lighthouse in the INDI 4.0 national programme in 2026,” he emphasised.

This achievement places Alva on a development trajectory towards INDI 4.0 Champion status, which is a strategic stage before reaching National Lighthouse status — a designation for companies assessed as excelling and serving as a national benchmark in the implementation of digitally integrated Industry 4.0 — and subsequently having the potential to become a Global Lighthouse within the Industry 4.0 ecosystem.

This status affirms that Alva has the capability to serve as a model for other electric motorcycle brands in Indonesia in adopting digital technology and modern manufacturing best practices, as well as the ability to scale up nationally.
