Alva N3 Goes Global: Local Electric Motorcycle Targets European Market
JAKARTA — PT Ilectra Motor Group (IMG) has taken a concrete step towards global expansion of its electric motorcycle brand.
Following its demonstration of the Alva N3 model at the EICMA 2025 exhibition, the local electric motorcycle manufacturer is preparing various technical requirements to meet international standards.
Alva’s Chief Marketing Officer, Putu Swaditya Yudha, affirmed that the company is open to targeting overseas markets, particularly regions with high awareness of environmentally friendly vehicles.
“We are open to several markets, particularly Europe,” Putu said when asked about target destinations for Alva’s electric motorcycle exports.
Safety standards, component durability and technical regulations must be met specifically according to the geographical characteristics of each destination country. “Homologation varies by country. It must, because road conditions and weather differ, so we always meet the requirements,” he added.
When asked about the target launch date for the product in foreign markets, Alva remained coy about providing a specific timeline. However, he signalled that the process is proceeding intensively to enable quick realisation.
“We want it as soon as possible,” he said regarding the estimated timeframe for beginning sales in international markets.
As a key foundation for this expansion, Alva has ensured manufacturing infrastructure readiness at its production facilities. With a factory capable of producing up to 100,000 units annually, Alva is prepared to adjust production volume according to market demand dynamics.
“It will depend on demand. For now there are no particular challenges; it should be manageable,” he explained regarding the allocation of production quotas between domestic needs and export markets.
