Alphard Driver Confronted by Security Guard After Running Red Light at Bundaran HI

A Toyota Alphard driver was confronted by a security guard after allegedly running a red pedestrian crossing light at the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia TransJakarta bus stop. The driver’s actions were immediately reprimanded by the security guard, who was helping pedestrians cross the road. However, the Alphard driver took offence at the reprimand. The security guard was then taken to a police post near the location. In CCTV footage uploaded to the Instagram account @kabarjakpus24, the pedestrian crossing light at the bus stop is already showing red. A number of vehicles at the location have also stopped. However, the black Alphard continued to drive on, even though several pedestrians had already begun to cross. The security guard, who was about to cross, then reprimanded the driver. The black car then slowed down and approached the security guard, causing a brief traffic jam. In another video uploaded, the security guard is seen being taken by two men in batik shirts to a police post in front of the Hotel Indonesia roundabout. The Instagram post’s caption stated that a number of residents reported the incident at the Bundaran HI TransJakarta bus stop. While the area was crowded and the pedestrian crossing light was reportedly green, a black Toyota Alphard allegedly drove through the crossing area. A security guard who was helping residents cross then reprimanded the driver by knocking on the car. However, the driver allegedly took offence, got out of the car, and took the security guard into the post. The upload was immediately flooded with comments from social media users, many of whom criticised the Alphard driver’s actions.
