Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon has revealed that the allocation for the utilisation of the cultural endowment fund in 2026 will amount to Rp500 billion from a total endowment for the culture sector reaching Rp6 trillion.

“The accumulation of the principal of the cultural endowment fund has been increased from the previous Rp5 trillion to Rp6 trillion, with an allocation in 2026 of around Rp500 billion,” said Fadli Zon during a press conference titled “Dana Indonesiaraya” held in Jakarta on Thursday.

It was previously known that the cultural endowment fund was named Dana Indonesiana, but it has now been changed to Dana Indonesiaraya in line with the nomenclature change; previously it was culture, but now it has become an institution, namely the Ministry of Culture, which has been established for at least 1.5 years.

The fund, he said, can be utilised by cultural practitioners and enthusiasts to support activities that advance a more exclusive, harmonious, and sustainable cultural ecosystem.

Furthermore, his side has recorded that the beneficiaries of the cultural endowment fund in 2024, which has been disbursed at Rp156 billion, with 346 recipients.

“Now there are even more, with 2,118 applications or proposals submitted to Indonesia, after selection then around 2,100 were chosen,” said Fadli.

Furthermore, the endowment fund management programme for 2025 has successfully funded 2,117 recipients with a value of Rp141.7 billion, and this amount has increased by 511.85 percent compared to the previous year.

To date, the benefits of the programme have reached 3,036 beneficiaries with a total fund disbursed of Rp594 billion.
