Allianz opens office in Papua

JAKARTA: Insurance firm PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia has
opened a branch office in the Papua provincial capital of
Jayapura to expand its business in the country's easternmost
province.

The new office, referred to as the Bird of Paradise, was
officially opened on Saturday by Jayapura mayor M.R. Kumbu and
company president Frank Levene, the company said in a statement.

Allianz has booked an income on premiums of Rp 400 million
(about US$46,000) from policyholders in the province over the
past four months and has set an annual target of Rp 1.5 billion.
