Allianz opens Medan office

JAKARTA (JP): PT Allianz Life Indonesia and PT Allianz Utama
Indonesia plan to open a joint office in Medan, North Sumatra, on
Saturday.

Allianz Life marketing director Jens Reisch said in a
statement: "The opening of this new office demonstrates our
confidence and long-term commitment to Indonesia's economic
development now and in the future."

Allianz Utama president Manfred Wittau said the Medan office
would provide a wide range of insurance services, from life
insurance to car insurance.

Both companies are insurance joint venture subsidiaries of the
German-based Allianz Group. (rid)
