Allianz Life Indonesia CEO Confident in Strengthening Prospects for Indonesia's Capital Market

Allianz Life Indonesia is confident that relevant authorities will continue to make improvements to enhance and strengthen the prospects of Indonesia’s capital market. It is hoped that this will have a positive impact on the economy and the financial industry in Indonesia in the future. Country Manager and President Director of Allianz Life Indonesia, Alexander Grenz, stated that Allianz Life Indonesia sees various improvement efforts currently underway and to be initiated by regulators as positive developments believed to further strengthen the long-term prospects of Indonesia’s capital market. “(Those steps) are in line with MSCI’s spotlight in 2026 regarding market transparency and governance practices,” he said, quoted from his statement on Sunday, 10 May 2026. With that background, he continued, Allianz’s funds, particularly equity sub-funds, remain resilient thanks to a selective approach in selecting investment instruments focused on good corporate governance principles. He added that the disciplined and selective approach contributes to improved performance of equity sub-funds that is stronger and more consistent compared to portfolios exposed to high-risk issuers. “Thus affirming the resilience of our fundamental-based strategy,” he emphasised. Going forward, Alexander Grenz still said, Allianz funds will continue to focus on high-quality issuers, supported by thorough bottom-up research as well as a long-term investment philosophy with controlled risk.
