JAKARTA. PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (Allianz Life) assesses that pressure on the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) and Government Securities (SBN) has influenced the company’s investment performance throughout the current period. Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Life Indonesia, Ni Made Daryanti, stated that market volatility has resulted in investment returns that are not yet fully optimal as in normal conditions. “In particular, for instruments sensitive to macroeconomic factors and global or Indonesian market sentiments,” she told Kontan on Thursday (30/4). In facing these conditions, Allianz Life continues to prioritise the principle of prudence by maintaining a balanced investment portfolio. The company also places funds selectively using a fundamental approach. Made added that they periodically evaluate market developments and portfolio performance. If significant and sustained changes occur, Allianz Life will adjust its strategy while still prioritising prudential principles. “Therefore, we continue to monitor economic conditions and the capital market, while applying a fundamental approach. Additionally, implementing dynamic strategies and prioritising risk management,” she said. To improve investment performance until the end of the year, Allianz Life will focus on strategies for selecting relatively more stable instruments, adequate risk management, and maintaining liquidity flexibility. Meanwhile, placements in equity instruments reached Rp 9.99 trillion, or around 32.95% of total investments.
