JAKARTA – Amid ongoing global uncertainties, the domestic economy continues to demonstrate resilience. This is supported by stabilising consumption, controlled inflation, and the increasingly dominant role of domestic investors in bolstering the capital markets.

Throughout 2025, Indonesia’s economic and market dynamics entered a different phase compared to previous years. This strengthening of market structure is reflected in the solid performance of shares and bonds, in line with improving liquidity and a more accommodative monetary policy direction.

In this context, Allianz Indonesia maintains consistency in fund management through a disciplined and adaptive investment approach, while preparing strategic steps to address the promising yet more cautious prospects for 2026.

Amid these dynamics, Allianz Indonesia recorded total assets under management (AUM) of Rp43.7 trillion, including funds managed by Allianz Life, Allianz Syariah, and Allianz DPLK, growing 9.8% year-on-year based on the company’s 2025 financial report.

Throughout the year, Allianz Indonesia managed assets in 49 types of unit-linked funds. The three funds with the highest managed assets in 2025 were Smartlink Equity (Rp5.8 trillion), Smartlink Fixed Income (Rp1.7 trillion), and Smartlink Balanced (Rp1.4 trillion).

Amid global volatility throughout 2025, Ni Made Daryanti, Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Life Indonesia, stated that Allianz Indonesia remained focused on the consistency of managing customer funds with a disciplined and adaptive investment approach, in line with the long-term oriented nature of the insurance business.

She added that the resilience of the domestic economy and market liquidity serve as important foundations in maintaining a balance between portfolio risks and returns. This is to support the commitment to protection and investment benefits for customers.

“Entering 2026, we are preparing more selective strategies by emphasising asset quality and measured risk management, to remain aligned with customers’ long-term financial goals,” said Ni Made Daryanti in her statement on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

Throughout 2025, Indonesia’s economy showed resilience with growth of 5.11%, an increase from 2024. Inflation remained controlled, closing the year at 2.92% year-on-year (YoY), supported by policy mixes and monetary measures.

Bank Indonesia (BI) cumulatively cut interest rates by 125 basis points. On the consumption side, social assistance policies in the second half of the year helped maintain purchasing power, with increased realisation in the final quarter of 2025.

In the conventional capital market, the JCI closed 2025 at 8,646.94, up 22.13% for the year. Meanwhile, in the bond market, the INDOBeX Government Index grew 12.43% YoY, with net inflows from foreign investors also recorded.

The Islamic capital market also continued its positive momentum throughout 2025. The performance of the Islamic stock market is reflected in the Jakarta Islamic Index, which recorded an annual increase of 22.13%, driven by strengthening stocks in the consumer, energy, and commodities sectors in line with improving domestic consumption expectations.

In line with that, the Islamic bond market also showed solid performance, with the IBPA Government Sukuk Index growing 10.76% for the year. Globally, market dynamics throughout 2025 were coloured by policy uncertainties and volatility, particularly in the early part of the year.

Concerns over US trade tariff policies, inflation pressures, and economic slowdowns in several major countries temporarily pressured market sentiment. Entering the second half of 2025, sentiment began to improve as some trade tensions eased and the Fed lowered interest rates.
