Alliance Laundry Systems Strengthens Laundromat Ecosystem as Indonesia Becomes a Strategic Market
Alliance Laundry Systems (ALS), a global provider of commercial laundry equipment, held the Alliance Laundry Systems Gala Awards for its third edition in Bali on 24 February 2026. The event, which brought together more than 100 distributors, partners and industry leaders, served as a moment for the company to acknowledge partner performance and reaffirm its long-term focus on the Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets.
The event was also used by ALS to outline the company’s regional approach and priorities, with Indonesia seen as continuing to play a crucial role in ALS’s expansion strategy in Southeast Asia. On this occasion, ALS also conveyed its commitment to sustainably supporting the development of the self-service laundry ecosystem through close collaboration with distributors and partners in the region.
“Growth comes from people who keep moving forward through discipline, service excellence, and long-term commitment. Indonesia remains an important market for ALS in this region,” said Eddie Tay, Senior Sales Director APAC, Alliance Laundry Systems.
Indonesia itself is seen as possessing strong market potential for ALS. Urbanisation that continues to rise — with much of the population now living in urban areas — is driving changes in lifestyles and consumer expectations for practical services, including laundry services. Demand is also growing from the hospitality sector and commercial laundry services.
ALS has built a wide presence in Indonesia through its official distributor network, supporting thousands of laundromat businesses across the country. The company works closely with partners to tailor solutions to local operational needs, service expectations, and evolving business models in the market.
In addition to strengthening the partner network, ALS continues to expand its sales and technical support capabilities in Southeast Asia. This step is taken by bringing technical expertise and closer service to customers, to ensure timely and consistent operational support in every market.
The company also strengthens pre-sales capabilities to support rising demand in the On-Premise Laundry (OPL) segment — i.e., laundry systems installed directly at operational locations such as hotels and hospitals — as well as the self-service laundry segment. This effort is complemented by strengthening regional technical competencies to support connected digital laundry solutions.
In terms of products, ALS also presents solutions relevant to market needs to open new business opportunities. One of these is through Stax-X, which is scheduled to be available in Indonesia and several other Southeast Asian countries. The product complements ALS’s portfolio of commercial laundry equipment, which includes global brands such as Speed Queen, UniMac, Huebsch, Primus, and IPSO.
In addition to strengthening products and services, ALS is increasing its investment in brand-based marketing and various initiatives led directly by the company. This step aims to clarify brand positioning while increasing market awareness of ALS’s portfolio of laundry solutions.
As the Indonesian laundry industry evolves, ALS reiterates its commitment to continuing long-term investments. The company aims to support entrepreneurs, business owners, distributors, and partners in expanding their businesses sustainably, while also strengthening ALS’s presence in Indonesia and the Southeast Asia region.
