The Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) has arrested A Hamid, also known as Boy, who is part of the narcotics network of drug lord Erwin Iskandar, commonly known as Ko Erwin. Boy has now arrived at Bareskrim Polri for further questioning.

On Thursday, 12 March 2026, investigators bringing Boy arrived at Bareskrim around 21:10 Western Indonesia Time. Boy was removed from the rear door of a vehicle. He was wearing a grey shirt and knee-length jeans, with his hands bound using yellow cable ties. Several investigators assisted Boy as he exited the vehicle. The drug distributor was then placed in a wheelchair that had been prepared by investigators. His foot was wrapped in white bandages. Boy made no comment when questioned by media representatives.

Boy was arrested whilst fleeing in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The arrest was carried out by a combined team from the Subdirectorate IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri together with the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) task force, led by Senior Commissioner Handik Zusen and Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury.

“The combined team successfully apprehended Abdul Hamid, also known as Boy, who served as a narcotics distributor within the Erwin Iskandar network in the West Nusa Tenggara region,” said Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury.

“The suspect was secured at a rental house in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, after previously fleeing from Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, to avoid legal proceedings,” he continued.

This arrest resulted from intensive investigation by the combined team, which successfully identified the location of the suspect’s hiding place. Boy will undergo further questioning.

“Currently, the suspect has been secured at the office of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri for interrogation and further investigation,” he concluded.
