Alleged Corruption Case Involving Bandung Deputy Mayor Terminated, Suspect Status Revoked

The Bandung District Attorney’s Office (Kejari Bandung) has officially terminated the investigation, issuing a termination of investigation order (SP3), regarding the alleged corruption case involving Bandung Deputy Mayor Erwin and Bandung City DPRD member Rendiana Awangga. The reason provided is that no flow of funds was found to have entered their personal accounts.

“For the sake of legal certainty, we have agreed to terminate this case. However, it is noted that if witnesses or other evidence related to these actions emerge in the future, we will reopen the case,” stated the Head of the Bandung District Attorney’s Office, Abun Hasbuloh Sambas, to reporters on Wednesday (3/6/2026).

With the termination of the investigation, he noted that the suspect status of both individuals has been revoked. He added that his office never imposed restrictions on their primary duties when they were first designated as suspects.

“With this termination, the suspect status of both individuals is nullified,” he said.
