Alleged Community Organisation Involvement in House Blockade in South Tangerang, Lawyer Hands Over to Police
South Tangerang, Kompas.com – The lawyer for the owner of the house that was blockaded in Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, Ridho, has handed over the tracing of suspected involvement by community organisations (ormas) to the South Tangerang Police Resort.
He stated that his side cannot ascertain the existence or role of ormas in the incident and has chosen to await the results of the authorities’ investigation.
“This has already been reported to the South Tangerang Police Resort, from what I’ve heard. What does that mean? Regarding those ormas, let the police handle it,” said Ridho when met by Kompas.com in Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Thursday (23/4/2026).
Therefore, the process of proving the case entirely falls under the investigators’ authority.
When asked about the origins of the ormas, Ridho declined to answer and reiterated that it is within the scope of the police investigation.
“For now, we cannot provide information. We’ll wait for the results from the police,” he said.
He described the action as an effort to defend rights.
“Our client is currently defending their violated rights,” he stated.
Previously, the house blockading action was suspected to have been carried out by a group of people said to be part of an ormas.
The current occupant of the house, Raffa Azman (21), said that dozens of people came to his house on Tuesday (14/4/2026) and demanded payment for the house.
Among the group, Raffa saw a man wearing a white shirt, black trousers, red tie, and black cap, who was suspected of leading the group.
That man introduced himself as a lawyer from the opposing party, now known to be Ridho.
