Alleged Child Grooming Case Involving Former Vocational School Principal in South Tangerang Exposed via WhatsApp Channel
TANGERANG SELATAN — The alleged child grooming case involving the former principal of SMK Letris 2 Pamulang, South Tangerang, is beginning to unfold after a WhatsApp channel containing photos and videos of the close relationship between the former principal and a student was circulated.
Firdaus Shaugie, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs at SMK Letris 2 Pamulang, stated that the school was initially unaware of the close relationship between the former principal, identified by the initials AMA, and a student, identified as S.
Firdaus noted that communication between the two began in March 2026, when the student’s parents requested that the principal pay closer attention to their child. He added that the student frequently shared her personal problems with AMA.
Despite this, the school authorities claimed they had previously issued reminders to maintain professional boundaries. “We have informed the class teacher, and we also informed the principal that professionalism must be maintained,” said Firdaus.
He claimed that no conspicuous closeness between AMA and S was observed within the school environment. However, the school administration admitted they were unaware of their interactions outside of school hours. “We are at school from 07:00 to 16:00 WIB, and there was no closeness at all. As for outside of school, we do not know what happens,” he explained.
“From the perspective of the students, this child seemed to take pride in being close to the Principal. From our viewpoint, this is not normal; it cannot be normalised,” Firdaus added.
The case began to emerge on Wednesday (13/05/2026) after a WhatsApp channel named ‘spill’ circulated among students and became public, eventually going viral on social media. The ‘spill’ channel contains screenshots, photos, and videos that were previously uploaded by S to a channel named ‘Em Anu’.
“This incident began with the spread of the ‘spill’ WhatsApp channel. The content actually originated from the student’s own WhatsApp channel,” Firdaus concluded.
