Internet celebrity Muhammad Jannah, known as Bigmo, was questioned with 40 queries by investigators from the Sub-directorate of Women and Children Services at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police regarding alleged child exploitation in his live streaming content.

His legal counsel, Sangun Ragahdo, stated that the dozens of questions were posed by investigators to delve into the chronology of the event when his client broadcast from a public area involving a minor and the mention of a brand of e-cigarette liquid.

‘Mo was present and examined with approximately 40 questions. During the examination, Mo conveyed the chronology of the live stream and submitted supporting evidence,’ Ragahdo said when met at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday.

He emphasised that his client was cooperative and not defensive during the clarification process, while also acknowledging an error in ethics and propriety in the broadcast. ‘We stress that Mo will not be defensive and has admitted his mistake regarding the live stream. However, we need to explain that the entire incident occurred spontaneously without a script or prior planning,’ Ragahdo stated.

Ragahdo noted that more than 97 per cent of his client’s content is intended for adult viewers and is equipped with an 18-plus age restriction marker. The legal team is leaving the determination of the case’s legal status entirely to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police investigators, while upholding the principle of presumption of innocence.

On the same occasion, Bigmo apologised to the public and committed to shifting his content towards more educational material. ‘I apologise for the commotion I caused. This is a valuable lesson for me to create more positive, beneficial, entertaining, and educational content going forward,’ Bigmo said.
