All SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung Students Accepted into Public Universities, Education Chief Hails Achievement

Lampung Provincial Education and Culture Office Head Thomas Amirico stated that this achievement is a clear testament to the improving quality of education in Lampung, which continues to show positive progress. According to Thomas, this success is not only a source of pride for the school and students’ parents but also an indicator that the quality of teaching and character development in educational institutions is steadily improving. ‘This is a proud achievement for Lampung, having worked hard in collaboration with all parties. Alhamdulillah, one of our senior high schools has all its students accepted into universities. This is thanks to the support of parents, teachers, and relevant parties in encouraging their achievements so our children can be accepted into public universities,’ he said in a press release on Tuesday (26 May 2026). The Lampung Provincial Government, Thomas added, continues to strengthen the education sector as part of efforts to create high-quality, competitive human resources for Indonesia’s Golden Era 2045. Various programmes to improve education quality, equalise learning access, and strengthen student character are being continuously promoted across all regions of Lampung. He stressed that education is the cornerstone of regional development. Therefore, the Lampung Provincial Government is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education services capable of addressing the challenges of the times. He noted that educational transformation is not solely focused on academic achievements but also on shaping a generation that is adaptable, innovative, disciplined, and possesses strong integrity. ‘Education must produce a generation that is intelligent, character-driven, creative, and ready to compete in the global era. Therefore, we continue to encourage schools to innovate teaching methods and strengthen character education within the school environment,’ he said. The Lampung Provincial Education and Culture Office is currently implementing various strategic steps, including strengthening transparent and fair student admission systems, improving school principal and teacher quality, and developing environmentally friendly schools and education digitisation. Additionally, the Lampung Provincial Government is seriously addressing efforts to reduce school dropouts through strengthening non-formal education, Community Learning Centres (PKBM), and Open High Schools to ensure all children in the province receive equal access to education. Thomas added that school principals play a crucial role as drivers of change in educational institutions. Therefore, his office continues to promote professional, adaptable school leadership focused on improving student achievements. ‘Schools must be safe, comfortable spaces that foster innovation and student achievements. We want education in Lampung to continue progressing and provide tangible benefits for the future of the youth,’ he concluded. The Lampung Provincial Government hopes that synergy among all community elements, educators, parents, and government will further strengthen education quality in the province to realise high-quality, competitive, and character-driven human resources.
