All Proceeds from Jogja Run D-City Tickets Dedicated to UGM Student Scholarships

The Jogja Run D-City running event is set to take place on 24 May 2026. CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung has revealed that the registration fees for the event will be donated to scholarships for UGM students.

This was stated by Chairul Tanjung during a press conference at the Jogja Financial Festival in the UGM Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas. He explained that the Jogja Run D-City sports event will be held as part of the Jogja Financial Festival, organised by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) together with Transmedia.

“Indeed, there is a fee, but this fee is actually for screening because there will be many participants. Secondly, there is the jersey and the medal,” said Chairul Tanjung at GIK UGM on Friday (24/4/2026).

He explained that the registration fees will be donated to scholarships for UGM students.

“The registration money will be 100 percent handed over for scholarship assistance, officially 100 percent, without any deductions. This will truly be handed over,” he stated.

“So the success of this event will be the success of Yogyakarta and will be the success of UGM,” he added.

Jogja Run D-City is part of the Jogja Financial Festival series, which will feature education classes and business talks in collaboration with industry leaders.

“One of the aims is to provide information, firstly, of course, education on public understanding of financial issues,” he said.

CNBC Editor-in-Chief Wahyu Daniel said something similar. The Jogja Financial Festival, targeted to be attended by 10,000 participants, will have its registration fees donated to students.

“This money will be 100 percent donated to students. So this is running while donating, that’s the theme,” he remarked.
