All Judges Replaced, LCC MPR Final in West Kalimantan to Involve Independent Parties
Yes, from the implementation side, the execution is certainly by the MPR General Secretariat. However, all the judges involved are independent individuals who were not involved in the previous process, namely there are no elements from the MPR General Secretariat,” said MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani during a press conference at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/5/2026). Muzani had summoned the two judges who became the subject of public discussion after being deemed unfair in the implementation of the LCC in West Kalimantan. Muzani said the two judges had been reprimanded. “It’s done. We called them earlier. We have reprimanded them,” Muzani stated. Muzani said the MPR has conveyed an apology for the incident. He mentioned that the apology also represents the two judges, Dyastasita Widya Budi and Indri Wahyuni. “Yes, the MPR institution has already been conveyed by Mr. Secretary General. One of our leaders has conveyed an apology. So that already represents the whole, including the judges, because this is an institutional activity, not an individual person’s activity,” he said. On the same occasion, MPR Secretary General Siti Fauziah said the two involved judges have been sanctioned with deactivation from the LCC event. She mentioned that the potential for additional administrative sanctions is still being reviewed by the MPR. “If there are other administrative sanctions, there are rules, there is a process. Well, that is in this stage because only today we communicated with the MPR leadership, so later we will see the applicable rules from the BKN (State Civil Service Agency). Whether there are elements that can be linked to the existing rules in the BKN,” she added.
