JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - All Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have now arrived in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, local time Sunday (24/5/2026). They are now preparing for the peak phase of the Hajj rituals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).

“Alhamdulillah entering the 33rd operational day of Hajj, all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have now arrived in Mecca, Saudi Arabia,” said Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) spokesperson Maria Assegaf in a virtual press conference in Jakarta on Sunday.

Maria revealed that on Monday (25/5/2026), pilgrims will head to Arafah for the Hajj’s climax. Therefore, pilgrims are preparing today.

She urged pilgrims to utilise the day to prepare physically and spiritually.

Ensure all necessary items for Armuzna are properly prepared, such as identification documents which must always be carried by pilgrims, personal medication, worship equipment, sufficient clothing, and other basic necessities.

“For pilgrims with specific medical histories, ensure personal medications are carried and easily accessible. Do not entrust important medications to others. Store medications in a small bag that stays with the pilgrim at all times,” Maria stated.

Maria also reminded pilgrims not to bring large suitcases, heavy items, excessive jewellery, large amounts of cash, or non-essential items.

“We advise pilgrims to prioritise physical condition, ensuring sufficient rest before departure to Arafah, regular meals, increased fluid intake, and avoiding excessive baggage which may hinder mobility during movement,” she concluded.
