All Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia; Ministry of Hajj Prepares Armuzna Services
Indonesia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) has confirmed that all departure phases for Indonesian hajj pilgrims from the homeland have been completed. The ministry is now redirecting all service focus towards finalising preparations for the pinnacle of hajj worship at Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).
Based on the latest operational data, 527 flight contingents comprising 202,551 pilgrims and 2,098 officials have landed in Makkah. Additionally, 16,596 special hajj pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia.
“Alhamdulillah, all departure phases for Indonesian hajj pilgrims from the homeland have been completed. Currently, all our services are directed towards ensuring Armuzna readiness, ranging from tents and pilgrim placement to food, transportation, health, pilgrim protection, and official positioning,” said Maria Assegaff, Kemenhaj spokesperson, on Saturday (23 May).
To ensure the smooth running of this crucial phase, Maria reminded all Hajj and Umrah Pilgrimage Guidance Groups (KBIHU) to refrain from displaying badges, banners, stickers, or any form of identification on pilgrim tents, whether in Arafah or Mina. This measure is important to keep pilgrim placement aligned with the official blueprint, preventing confusion in the field.
“Should officials discover any KBIHU badges or identities posted on tents in Arafah or Mina, they will be immediately removed. Kemenhaj will also issue warnings and sanctions in accordance with regulations to those who persist in violations,” Maria stated firmly.
On another note, Kemenhaj has appreciated the high level of pilgrim compliance in paying dam (penalty) fees in accordance with official regulations. This year, the number of pilgrims recorded as having paid dam has reached 145,341 individuals.
Specifically, 102,364 pilgrims channelled their dam payments in Saudi Arabia through the official Adahi institution. Meanwhile, 38,992 other pilgrims chose to pay through mechanisms made available in Indonesia.
“This achievement demonstrates increased pilgrim awareness in fulfilling dam obligations in an orderly, safe, and regulated manner. Kemenhaj continues to ensure dam management operates transparently and provides certainty for pilgrims,” she said.
As the mass movement to Armuzna approaches, Kemenhaj has urged pilgrims to begin conserving energy. Pilgrims are advised to increase rest, maintain proper nutrition and hydration intake, and strictly follow field officials’ instructions. When moving to Armuzna, pilgrims are also expected to carry only essential belongings, such as identity documents, personal medications, masks, stone bags, and adequate footwear.
Inter-pilgrim solidarity is also a crucial point being emphasised. Maria called upon all pilgrims and officials to build collective care whilst in the holy land. If encountering pilgrims who appear confused, exhausted, or separated from their groups, they are urged to immediately escort them to service posts or report them to the nearest sector officials.
“We call upon all Indonesian people to pray for the smooth implementation of this year’s hajj. May all pilgrims be granted health, safety, and ease, and may they return to the homeland as fully-accepted pilgrims,” she said.
The Ministry of Hajj has also made new history in hajj management this year. The services provided touch not only administrative aspects, but also health, worship guidance, psychological support, and humanitarian services.
Kemenhaj is tightening tent arrangements in Arafah ahead of the peak hajj period to ensure all 2026 pilgrims receive fair, orderly, and equitable service. The Hajj Supervision Task Force (Timwas Haji) and Parliamentary Commission VIII will continue to strictly monitor the technical arrangements of tent placement services and facilities in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).
On 9 Dhu al-Hijjah (Tuesday, 26 May 2026), pilgrims will perform wuquf at Arafah before moving to Muzdalifah and Mina in the afternoon and evening hours.
BPJS Health has reminded prospective hajj pilgrims to ensure their participation in the National Health Insurance Guarantee Programme (JKN) is active before departure.
Kemenhaj has prepared the Armuzna Operational Task Force for the 2026 hajj peak. Pilgrims are required to adhere to the schedule starting from 25 May to avoid congestion at Arafah-Mina.
