All Hajj Officials Required to Use Kawal Haji Application
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia mandates all Hajj Service Officers (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia to use the Kawal Haji application as the main facility for monitoring, reporting, and coordinating Hajj operations for 1447 Hijriyah/2026 CE. This provision is contained in Circular Letter No. 23.001/PPIH.AS/4/2026 regarding the use of the Kawal Haji application, addressed to all PPIH officers in Saudi Arabia. The circular was issued in Jeddah on Thursday (23/4/2026) by the Deputy Chair II of PPIH Saudi Arabia and copied to relevant parties as part of strengthening the implementation of Hajj service duties. The circular explains that an integrated system is needed to improve the effectiveness of monitoring, reporting, and coordination, so the Kawal Haji application is prepared as the main support for officers’ tasks. This circular serves as a guideline for using the application with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of Hajj operational supervision, facilitating real-time reporting, strengthening inter-unit coordination, and supporting accurate data-based decision-making. Its scope includes the obligation to use the application by all officers, account access procedures, and its utilisation for monitoring, reporting, and coordination. Its preparation refers to Hajj organisation regulations, PPIH operational needs, and efforts to improve service quality and supervision. It is emphasised that all officers are required to use the Kawal Haji application as the primary medium in carrying out their duties, especially for monitoring, reporting, and coordination. Account usage is regulated with the username following the existing officer account, password using each individual’s passport number, and every officer responsible for their account’s security. The application must be utilised optimally to support smooth operations. The technical guide explains the steps for using the application, starting from access via the kawal.haji.go.id page, logging in as an officer or admin using the username and passport number, to using main features such as creating complaints by selecting categories, writing titles and descriptions, determining locations on the map, and uploading a maximum of five evidence photos. In addition, officers can search reports by category, status, embarkation, and kloter, view complaint histories along with responses and support, and review report details and responses. It is hoped that all officers can use the Kawal Haji application optimally to support monitoring, reporting, and coordination during ongoing Hajj operations.
