All Flooding Points in West Jakarta Have Subsided Today
Jakarta, 10 March 2026 — Flooding across all points in West Jakarta has subsided as of Tuesday (10 March 2026).
The Head of Data and Information at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohammad Yohan, stated that based on data compiled by BPBD, there are no remaining flood locations in West Jakarta.
“Thank God, today there are zero incidents,” Yohan said when confirmed by Kompas.com on Tuesday.
Similarly, West Jakarta Municipal Administrator Iin Mutmainnah confirmed that all flooding points in her jurisdiction had receded since Monday (9 March 2026) evening.
“Regarding water accumulation and flooding in West Jakarta, thank God everything has dried up since last night, Monday around 22:00 WIB,” said Iin when contacted by Kompas.com.
The most severe flooding occurred in several residential units (RT) in Kembangan District. The flooding affected both main thoroughfares and residential areas since Saturday (7 March 2026) evening.
Iin also ensured that all residents who had evacuated due to flooding had returned to their homes.
“They began returning yesterday as soon as the water started receding; all evacuees have gone back to their homes,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Water Resource Management (SDA) for West Jakarta, Purwanti Suryandari, stated that continuous monitoring and evaluation of flood management efforts would continue.
“We will ensure that water channels function properly, and dredging and soil excavation in waterways will continue to be carried out regularly,” said Purwanti.
