All cronies saved?

All cronies saved?

From Jurnal Indonesia

At last, former president Soeharto is free after the South
Jakarta District Court ruled he can never be tried because of his
poor health. A team of doctors said Soeharto has suffered
permanent brain damage, so he cannot possibly understand complex
problems.

The news has, of course, pleased his cronies and his former
subordinates who currently are or will be involved in legal
cases. Governor Sutiyoso, being investigated by the military
police over the takeover of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI)
headquarters in 1997, was quite smart to say the attack was
carried out on Soeharto's orders. The authorities certainly will
be unable to obtain any information from Soeharto.

Sutiyoso's method of avoiding the issue needs to be copied by
other suspects and prospective suspects in various cases, such as
the national car case, Tanjung Priok and East Timor. Soeharto can
no longer be questioned, can he? So these suspects also can go
free. Very convenient, yes?
