All About Prabowo's Cabinet Reshuffle: New Faces and Returning Officials
President Prabowo Subianto has carried out the fourth reshuffle of the Merah Putih Cabinet since taking office. The latest changes bring new faces to the cabinet, as well as officials who had previously stepped down but have been reappointed by Prabowo to assist in his government.
The inauguration of ministers, deputy ministers, special presidential advisors, and agency heads took place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026).
Six officials were sworn in during the latest reshuffle. Here is a summary of the recent cabinet reshuffle compiled by detikcom.
New Face: Labour Activist
Prabowo’s cabinet now includes representation from the labour group. He is Jumhur Hidayat, General Chairman of the All-Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPSI).
Prabowo appointed Jumhur as Minister of Environment/Head of the Environment Control Agency. He replaces Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
Returning Old Face
It is Hasan Nasbi who has made a ‘comeback’ to Prabowo’s cabinet after being sworn in as Special Presidential Advisor for Communications. This is not the first time he has been inaugurated at the palace.
Previously, Hasan Nasbi served as Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO). However, in September 2025, Prabowo established the Government Communication Agency, a new nomenclature for the PCO, which Hasan left and was filled by Angga Raka Prabowo.
Not only Hasan, Abdul Kadir Karding also made a ‘comeback’ to the cabinet after being appointed as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. Previously, he served as Minister of P2MI and was replaced by Mukhtarudin in September 2025.
Old Face, New Seat
Meanwhile, other officials have received new roles in the cabinet. They are Muhammad Qodari, Dudung Abdurachman, and Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
Qodari, who previously served as Head of the KSP, now becomes Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom RI). The Head of KSP position is filled by Dudung Abdurachman.
Meanwhile, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, formerly Minister of Environment, now becomes Deputy Minister Coordinator for Food Affairs.
