All About Apartments at Manggarai Station, Starting from IDR 500 Million
Jakarta — Amid the bustling activities of Manggarai Station, which accommodates hundreds of thousands of passengers daily, the government together with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI is preparing a vertical residential concept directly integrated with public transportation.
This project forms part of transit-oriented development (TOD) area expansion. It does not merely provide housing but also a more efficient urban ecosystem.
KAI Chief Executive Officer Bobby Rasyidin stated that the development of this residential project utilises KAI’s land assets whilst supporting the Government’s 3 Million Homes Programme.
Key facts regarding the apartment complex to be built at Manggarai:
The housing will be constructed directly in the Manggarai Station area, one of Jakarta’s largest transportation hubs. Manggarai Station facilitates more than 770 train journeys daily and accommodates 220,000 passengers, comprising Jabodetabek commuter trains and airport trains. The location is also connected to various other modes of transport such as TransJakarta and access to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
The residential project will be built on approximately 2.2 hectares of land with a vertical design concept. A total of 8 towers in two blocks (Blocks F and G), each tower constructed to 12 storeys, will contain approximately 2,200 residential units.
KAI is preparing two types of units to meet the needs of the urban population. The units demonstrate that the housing is not merely small studios but falls into the category of small family apartments. These prices are considered relatively competitive for the central Jakarta area with direct transportation access.
