I Gusti Ngurah Kesuma Kelakan, or Alit Kelakan, has been re-elected as Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Persatuan Alumni (PA) Gerakan Mahasiswa Nasional Indonesia (GMNI) Bali for the 2026-2031 period. He previously led PA GMNI Bali during the 2020-2026 term.

The election took place at the Regional Conference (Konferda) of the DPD PA GMNI Bali at the GMNI Bali Secretariat in Denpasar on Thursday (7/5/2026). The plenary session was chaired by Abdy Yuhana, Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Central Executive Board (DPP) PA GMNI. The conference was also attended by three definitive branch leadership councils (DPC) of PA GMNI in Bali, namely those in Tabanan, Gianyar, and Badung.

“Going forward, we will re-involve the old team or the previous period to strengthen organisational restructuring,” said Alit Kelakan in his speech after being elected.

In addition to strengthening the organisational structure, the DPD PA GMNI Bali also targets the formation of caretaker committees in several regions. This step is taken to accelerate the finalisation of DPC PA GMNI leadership in Bali.

Alit Kelakan will form caretaker committees for the DPC PA GMNI in Jembrana, Klungkung, Buleleng, Bangli, and Denpasar. According to him, the results of the branch conferences in those regions have actually been produced, but they have not yet received definitive decree letters (SK).

According to Alit Kelakan, the organisation’s future commitment is not only to organise the internal structure but also to expand the involvement of cadres in strategic sectors.
