Alhamdulillah, 15 Years of the ISSI Shariah Index: Seizing Opportunities in Sustainable Economic Valuation

Jakarta — The Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) this year marks its fifteenth anniversary. Launched on 12 May 2011, the ISSI is a performance indicator for the Shariah-compliant stock market listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Currently, the ISSI has 632 constituent stocks, with market capitalisation that has continued to expand since its initial launch 15 years ago. BEI’s Chief Financial Officer for Finance, Human Resources and General Affairs, Risa E. Rustan, said the number of ISSI constituents has risen rapidly from 237 stocks and now accounts for 70% of all listed companies.
