Alfamart Distributes Aid to Earthquake Victims in NTT
Alfamart has distributed urgently needed aid to communities affected by earthquakes in several areas of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. The assistance was channelled through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Sikka Regency (Maumere), Ende, and Manggarai (Ruteng).
Alfamart Corporate Communications General Manager Rani Wijaya expressed condolences over the earthquake disaster that struck communities in several parts of NTT.
“Alfamart extends its condolences over the earthquake disaster that has affected communities in NTT. Through our team on the ground, we are coordinating with the local BPBD to distribute aid according to the needs of affected communities,” Rani said in a written statement on Tuesday (18/8/2026).
The assistance provided includes dozens of cartons of mineral water, biscuits, ready-to-eat meals, milk, and a number of other basic necessities. The aid was distributed to support the needs of communities affected by the disaster, particularly during the emergency response period. Distribution of the aid has been carried out since Sunday (16/8).
Rani explained that the distribution of aid is part of Alfamart’s quick response through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
“This is one manifestation of Alfamart’s CSR concern and commitment to help meet the needs of communities affected by disasters,” she said.
The aid received is then distributed by the respective regional BPBDs to communities in earthquake-affected areas.
Alfamart also continues to coordinate with relevant parties on the ground to ensure that the assistance provided matches the needs of communities during the emergency response period.
