PT Aletra Mobil Nusantara (Aletra) has reaffirmed its presence in the Indonesian automotive industry by participating for the second time in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Autoshow (GIIAS) 2026. The Indonesian electric vehicle brand introduced its newest product currently under development, the Aletra L7. The Aletra L7 is designed to fill the electric Low Multi-Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) segment, prepared as an environmentally friendly family vehicle option that is affordable while offering premium comfort. Chief Executive Officer of PT Aletra Mobil Nusantara, Andre Djojana, explained that the company’s presence at GIIAS 2026 underscores its long-term commitment to Indonesia. Following the positive reception and continued growth of the Aletra L8, the L7 represents the next step in ensuring sustainable mobility is accessible to more Indonesian families. The Aletra L7 was born from a collaboration between Aletra and Linxys, where a Linxys product was adapted and further developed by Aletra to suit the needs and various road scenarios in Indonesia. With dimensions of 4,550mm in length, 1,705mm in width, and 1,725mm in height, the Aletra L7 features a modern, dynamic, and elegant exterior design. Although positioned as an affordable electric LMPV, the Aletra L7 exceeds the standard features of its class by including premium additions typically found in higher segments, such as an optional Captain Seat configuration for personal comfort and flexible second-row access, as well as an Automatic Sliding Door for easy entry and a premium experience. The Aletra L7 is currently in the development phase and is targeted for an official launch alongside the inauguration of the Aletra Headquarters in October 2026. Andre Djojana noted that the model displayed at GIIAS is a prototype undergoing intensive development, with the hope that the Aletra L7 will become the electric LMPV of choice for Indonesian families, offering affordability without compromising a premium driving experience.
