Alco to face Yuso in volley semis

SEMARANG (JP): Alco Telkom of West Java defeated Garuda of Central Java 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-13) in the National Inter-club Volleyball Championships women's semifinals at the Jati Diri sports hall here Thursday.

Alco will face Yuso of Yogyakarta on Friday's final. Yuso reached the semifinals after eliminating Sphinx of East Java 3-1 (25-20, 15-25, 25-19, 25-13).

In the men's semifinals, Apac Inti of Central Java went through to the final after crushing BPN of East Java 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-13).

Apac will face the winner between BTPN West Java and Kembar Grup Gresik of East Java. At the time of going to press, BTPN was leading 1-0 (25-22) in the late match.

Apac Inti coach Indrajaya was satisfied with his team's form, saying he had prepared a strategy for the final match. (har)
