Alan Ball to boost int'l soccer meet

JAKARTA (JP): Alan Ball, Manchester City manager, has been here since Tuesday to attend a school soccer invitational tournament held by the British International School on Saturday and Sunday at the school's soccer field in Bintaro Jaya Sektor 9, Tangerang, West Java.

Students from 10 international schools in Greater Jakarta and Bandung and Cilegon in West Java will take part in the tournament which is divided into four age divisions: under-9s, under-11s, under-13s and under-15s. Ball, one of England's finest midfielders in the 1960s and 1970s, will present awards to the winning teams.

Last year, the tournament featured Everton manager and last year's FA Cup finalist Joe Royle. (arf)
