Al-Zaytun registers two million voters

JAKARTA: The Indramayu General Elections Commission (KPUD) in West Java refused to accept the registration of two million voters at Al-Zaytun Muslim boarding school, due to unclear data on the voters.

The KPUD questioned the residency status of those voters, citing the school had registered only 24,000 voters in the first round of the presidential election.

The commission had to repeat the election at Al-Zaytun in July, due to a sudden jump in the number of voters there. Most ballots were punched for defeated candidate Wiranto. --Antara
