The organisation of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage has been deemed a success, demonstrating a significant leap in quality in both services for pilgrims and managerial systems. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj), which organised the pilgrimage for the first time, received appreciation from the Chairman of the Central Board of Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah (PB Al Washliyah), KH Masyhuril Khamis.

According to Kiai Masyhuril, the performance of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) and flight group officers, provided quite good and optimal services, particularly regarding the comfort of facilities, accommodation, health, and transport for pilgrims.

He added that health services for pilgrims, from the homeland to the Holy Land, were quite optimal and received a positive response from the congregation. "The operation of dozens of satellite clinics and improved services in Arafah, Mina, and Muzdalifah, as well as Hajj officers who moved quickly and were responsive in serving pilgrims, also helped reduce the number of pilgrims who fell ill or died," Kiai Masyhuril told Republika on Wednesday (17/6/2026).

He stated that the departure to the Holy Land and the return of pilgrims to the homeland generally proceeded smoothly without significant obstacles. This positive achievement was thanks to coordinated support and cooperation between agencies and countries.

The Chairman of the Halal Division of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) congratulated the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on its performance achievements, particularly to Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf and Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak.
