Al Temyat gets award

SINGAPORE (AFP): Saudi Arabian Nawaf Al Temyat, named
Wednesday as the Asian footballer of the year, also led the way
in an Asian Football Confederation All-Star team.

Japan, the Asian Cup champions, dominated the squad with four
players among the 17 chosen from 11 countries.

Asian All Stars comprise: Nawaf Al Temyat, Mohammed Al Daeyea,
Mohammed Al Khilaiwi (Saudi Arabia), Jiang Jin, Fan Zhiyi
(China), Hendro Kartiko (Indonesia), Ryuzo Moirioka, Shunsuke
Nakamura, Hiroshi Nanami, Naohiro Takahara (Japan), Hong Myung-
Bo, Lee Dong-Gook (Korea), Jamal Mubarak (Kuwait), Saoud Fath
(Qatar), Karim Bagheri (Iran), Kiatisuk Senamuang (Thailand),
Abbas Obeid Jassem (Iraq).
